As part of Italy's presidency of the G7 in 2024, the Bologna Technopole is hosting a ministerial meeting dedicated to Science and Technology from Tuesday, July 9 to Thursday, July 11.
Chaired by University and Research Minister Anna Maria Bernini, the summit will be attended by ministers and heads of delegations from Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States of America and the European Union.
The agenda of the work, divided into several sessions, will focus on a number of priority themes identified by the Italian presidency: security and integrity of scientific research, open science and scientific communication; major research infrastructures; research on new and emerging technologies, nuclear energy and space; cooperation with Africa in the areas of research and innovation; and protection of the seas and ocean and their biodiversity.
Just on the occasion of the G7, it also inaugurates the new exhibition space inside Hall B4, which will become a permanent space and a meeting place for events, initiatives, and conferences dedicated to Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Big Data.
